Jim Smith Joins TriNet as VP of Operations
32-Year Veteran of Lucent Technologies adds expertise in scaling complex business processes
SAN LEANDRO, Calif (January 15, 2001) - TriNet Group, Inc., a human resources (HR) outsourcer specializing in online and in-person solutions for fast-growth technology companies, announced today that Jim Smith has joined the company as Vice President of Operations.

"In his previous position at Lucent Technologies, Jim oversaw payroll operations for 130,000 employees, and successfully devised a number of scalable solutions for dealing with incredibly complex business transactions."

Smith has over 32 years of relevant experience in operations, including overseeing payroll production and completing an SAP implementation at Lucent Technologies. His specialties include line operations, payroll accounting, and check print and distribution. Smith received a mini MBA in Finance at the AT&T School of Business/Wharton Business School and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from State University of New York, and has completed a number of executive and management development programs.
